The past few months have been a bit insane.  Lets just say I had a lot on my plate.  My time is starting to open up a little bit more and I am committed to putting more time towards my craft now that I can.

Art Time

Lately I've been taking pictures of some of my old old drawings and adding color through an image manipulation program called Gimp.  Its a lot of fun and surprisingly easy now that I understand how the program works.  

I'd love to start publishing little cartoons online.  There are sooooo many things that I want to do and so little time.  I'm determined to keep room in my life for art so I've started to write down my schedule for each week and plan ahead so that I have time for projects.  I also have recently been commissioned to make a bag for a birthday gift.  I've given myself a due date for December 5th to have the front done on two so that the customer can choose and then I have another bag to sell on etsy.  

I'll post them when they are ready.

Diaper Bag

I love making diaper bags!  This is my second one to date.  Hopefully I'll have more to show by January.

Presents

This week has been a busy one for me because I've been none stop making bags especially for family.  I've also made myself a pair of shorts (my first successful attempt at pants!)

This is a bag for my dad... you can just barely make out the sails from the photo but in real life its much easier to see.

This one is for my mom.  The bird's eye is made with a shell.

This is a journal entry from my time traveling through Europe a few summers ago.

When ever I go on a trip I always bring a notebook and pen/markers/pencils so if I get inspired I can make something.

I finished 5 new bags since I've been back.  Here they are:

I'm almost completely out of zippers now so I must go shopping soon or put to use that annoying velcro which I haven't really made my peace with yet... Perhaps its time to come up with a new bag design?
